Hello and Welcome. 

This blog is all about drafting, sewing and hand embroidery. 

Sewing has been my passion since long time. I spent much of my childhood watching my mum sew those lovely little dresses for me. I was so proud to wear them and show them to my friends. I learnt all the basics of sewing and hand embroidery from my mum. 

Learning skills and taking up a hobby were leisure activities in those times when screens weren't invented! As a teen I used to volunteer in summer holidays- making garments for my family, relatives and even neighbours for practice! Later I did couple of courses to hone my skills. 

I offer sewing lessons and freelance accounting service. I am wife to a lovely husband who is an IT Professional and a busy mum to two lovely boys. I enjoy sewing, embroidery, tutoring, computing, cooking and gardening.

Here I would like to share with you the drafts and notes I made while I was learning. I believe that everyone can sew with a little help and I hope this blog will help you understand the fundamentals of drafting and cutting. I hope you find this blog useful and inspiring.
